Everton can now draw the curtain on their summer transfer window with seven signings over the line in total.

Having told the media Everton were done for the window, Sean Dyche was handed a further two signings on deadline day by Kevin Thelwell.

And the Everton director of football was left absolutely delighted by the signing of Armando Broja on a season-long loan from Chelsea.

However, there was one other deal to be secured on Friday with Everton sealing another loan agreement for Orel Mangala.

The midfielder is arriving from Lyon where he will be meeting up with his former teammate from the Ligue 1 side in Jake O’Brien.

Amid the takeover speculation at Goodison Park, John Textor has now issued a message following what unfolded on Friday.

What John Textor said about Everton’s deadline day business
It was not just arrivals at Everton with Neal Maupay departing for Marseille on deadline day having watched the opening two games from the bench.

But the focus will, of course, be on player arrivals with the Blues looking to bolster Dyche’s squad for the remainder of the season.

And there was one deadline day signing which interested the potential future Everton owner with his Lyon side sanctioning Mangala’s loan exit.

It is now two deals which have been done between Textor’s current club in Lyon and his potential new club Everton this summer.

And following the arrival of Mangala on Merseyside, the American billionaire shared his thoughts on the move for the midfielder.

‘Congratulations Orel… You certainly look good in Blue!’ he wrote on an Instagram story where he was sharing Everton’s announcement post.

A potential hint which Everton fans will certainly have enjoyed.

John Textor remains in exclusivity period to buy Everton
Following deadline day, the focus around Everton – away from the pitch – will be the potential takeover being proposed by Textor.

After failed efforts in recent months, Textor has now entered exclusive talks to propel his takeover offer for Everton.

And, it has to be said, the deals between Everton and Lyon would certainly make for good reading to the Blues fans.

But the message he has just shared is just the cherry on the cake when it comes to the words used in his message to Mangala where he says he looks good in blue…
