Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Vitor Pereira is not in immediate danger of being sacked, despite their 3-2 defeat against Burnley in the Premier League at Molineux on Sunday, GIVEMESPORT understands.

Wolves currently remain bottom of the table after yet another defeat, this time against newly-promoted Burnley, who struck in the final seconds to find a winner. Pereira’s side are still searching for their first victory in the Premier League this season, and they are already six points away from safety in England’s top flight.

GIVEMESPORT understands that despite Wolves still searching for their first win of the Premier League season, Pereira isn’t in immediate danger of being sacked. It’s been a difficult period for the Midlands club, but Wolves have already shown their faith in the manager earlier in the campaign, with Pereira signing a new three-year deal back in September.

Pereira hasn’t been able to turn things around since then, but the Wolves boss isn’t currently in immediate danger of being relieved of his duties as it stands. Speaking after the defeat to Burnley, Pereira suggests he’s not worried, and things can change quickly in football…

“It’s normal in football, if we win two or three games in a row everything changes. Two months ago they sing my name because of the work we did last season [means] we are competing in the Premier League and not in the Championship. Now they sing my name maybe to sack me. I’m not worried [about his job], it’s not about me. It’s about the team, the players. My work is to help them to come again, to be mentally strong for the next fight.”

Wolves have a chance to get the fans back onside with a game against Chelsea in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday. The Wanderers then travel to Fulham at the start of November in the Premier League, before playing Chelsea once again in the top flight.
