It could be a busy January at Celtic Park if star winger Kuhn leaves the club.
Mathias Kvistgaarden has opened the door to January exit from Brondby amid reports Celtic have revived their interest in the versatile forward.
The Dane has been heavily linked with a move to the Scottish champions in recent transfer windows and reports have suggested that Parkhead scouts were sent do watch Brondby’s recent clash against FC Nordsaelland with the Hoops reportedly “very interested” in the the 22-year-old. Reports come with star man Nicolas Kuhn being linked with a move to the English Premier League with Brentford and Fulham said to be among the interested parties.
Speaking to Bold, Kvistgaarden insisted he was ready to try his luck abroad: “It would be great if a lot of things came from outside. You dream of leaving at some point. There are still games left, and if that were to happen, then you know that you are standing and suddenly you have the last few games in the Brondby shirt this time around.
“So right now I’m just looking towards the next game. I am enjoying every single second I wear this shirt.”
With winger Kuhn chipping in with 10 goals and 11 assists so far this season, former Celtic star Simon Donnelly has told the club they should expect bids with a fee in the region of £24million floated by reports in Germany. He told Clyde 1 Superscoreboard: “He’s been excellent.
Kuhn is now doing it, not only domestically, but he’s popped in with goals in the Champions League. There’s always going to be interest.”
Elsewhere, Hammarby boss Kim Hellberg has urged clubs to take a punt on rising talent Bazoumana Toure. Celtic have been named among a host of clubs chasing the 18-year-old with Arsenal, Crystal Palace, Eintracht Frankfurt and Bayer Leverkusen all sait to have scouted the £8.3million-rated forward.
Hellberg told Fotbollskanalen: “I think he can play at the absolute highest level that can be played at. I don’t see why he shouldn’t have the chance to get there. After all, there have been many players who had the opportunity to get there but didn’t take that path.
