Matt O’Riley has reunited with three of his ex-Celtic teammates during November’s international break.
The Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder wasn’t called up to the Denmark squad as they prepare to face Spain and Serbia in the UEFA Nations League.
So O’Riley decided to meet up with Callum McGregor, Stephen Welsh and James Forrest, as well as Luke McCowan who signed for Celtic after the Dane sealed his £26m switch down south.
Matt O’Riley posts Celtic reunion snap
On Friday, O’Riley posted a picture to his Instagram story with his old Celtic chums in the sunshine and accompanied with a few emojis, he wrote the caption: “Football friends.”
He even sported his old Celtic training top for the photo which is sure to bring many smiles to Celtic fans’ faces.
O’Riley’s start to Brighton career
O’Riley remains sorely missed by Celtic supporters despite the club getting on with their business as though he never left.
The silky Danish midfielder sealed a dream move from Celtic to the Premier League in the summer and is now rubbing shoulders with the world’s best at Brighton.
He’s played three games for the Seagulls so far, his debut in August marred by a horrible ankle injury that kept him on the sidelines for around two months.
But he returned with an exceptionally loud bang on his Premier League debut as O’Riley netted the winner for Brighton in a 2-1 victory over Man City.
