Brendan Rodgers will be hoping Celtic do their talking on the field of play on Wednesday night ahead of Dundee United’s visit.
A lot has been said following Celtic’s win over St Mirren on Sunday when Rodgers wasn’t happy with the supporters for chanting Kieran Tierney’s name.
The January transfer window is open, and for a long time now, there has been a lot of talk that Tierney could return to Celtic this month.
That has got the Celtic fans excited and they are looking forward to one of their own donning the green and white colours again.
But Rodgers has seemingly taken it another away and thinks it’s disrespectful towards starting left-back Greg Taylor.
As you can understand, Taylor was a topic of discussion ahead of Celtic’s home clash against Dundee United.

If Taylor plays against Dundee United, then it will be his 200th game in a Celtic shirt after signing when Tierney initially left for Arsenal in 2019.
Rodgers shared that he did speak to the soon-to-be out-of-contract star and he is ‘absolutely fine’, as he told Celtic TV.
The Irishman was also keen to share that Taylor is ‘clear’ where is at and wanted to praise the inverted fullback for what he has given to the club in recent years.
Have you had to speak to Greg Taylor, at all, in the aftermath of that game, is that something you had to address with him personally,” asked Gordon Duncan.
Rodgers responded: “I have spoken to him, yeah. He is absolutely fine. I had a good chat with Greg. Just on a number of things. He is good to go.
“Greg is clear in where he is at. For me, he is a dedicated Celt. He has been someone that’s, what nearly six years? I think if he plays (against Dundee United). It’s 200 games as a Celtic player, which is a lot of games. He is a brilliant servant and I hope he can continue to be that throughout my time here and beyond. You see from his performance level, his concentration, his commitment to the team and to the club is always there. There is always a little backdrop (chatter) for every player and manager, but he copes with it really well and you see that with how consistent he is with his performances.
“Listen, I can never say to anyone, what to say, what to think, what to sing or what to not. But I know what my own personal value is. A lot of it is based around respect. Listen, the Celtic supporters, it an amazing support base for what they give the team and how they support the team. How they travel with the team. So, nobody is telling supporters what to sing.
Taylor’s Celtic career in numbers
Taylor’s contract situation is still up in the air, but over the years, he has been a consistent performer for the team, even if fans would be very happy for Tierney to join.
The 27-year-old is 199 not out and it’s likely he will raise his bat for his double century at home to Dundee United.
During that period, Taylor has lifted nine trophies and you expect at least one more medal to be added to his cabinet this season.
