Alan Brazil and Ally McCoist had an interesting Celtic-related chat on Wednesday.
It has been another drama-filled week in Glasgow because, only last Thursday, Rangers won the lottery after beating Celtic, but were brought back down to earth pretty much straight away.
Rangers dropped points at Hibernian for the lunchtime kick-off on Sunday, and then hours later, Celtic opened up a 13-point lead at the top of the table by beating St Mirren on home soil.
Normal service has resumed and it’s a case of how many points will the champions win the title by because those answers will become clear in the coming months.
Either way, this is what Alan Brazil and Ally McCoist had to say about Celtic-Rangers, including their thoughts on Callum McGregor.
Alan Brazil mocks Ally McCoist and Rangers for falling further behind Celtic
McCoist was quick to admit that Rangers ‘went to pieces’ on two occasions against Hibs, despite that surprise display against Celtic.
They were leading 2-0, before having to settle for a 3-3 draw and Brazil couldn’t help but jibe by stating that perhaps Rangers got ‘mixed up with the green and whites’, as he told talkSPORT (08/01/25 at 6:10 am).
After all, those at Ibrox have been used to tasting defeat and defeat against Celtic in recent years.

McCoist responded: “Yeah, disappointing. Is that quick enough for you?” Brazil then added: “Oh, come on! Give me a wee bit more. Maybe they got mixed up with the green and whites, I don’t know.”
McCoist then stated: “It was two nothing just before I went out of the house and then they just went to pieces. The first 25 minutes were excellent again and then they went to pieces.
Brazil worried by Callum McGregor’s form for Celtic
McGregor has been dominant against Rangers for many years now, including winning the League Cup final last month at Hampden.
But, for the first time in a very long time, he, along with his teammates, looked off it at Ibrox and it has worried Brazil.
The former striker thinks the Celtic skipper ‘isn’t imposing himself’, although, McCoist was quick to defend the player and how he is still a ‘great player’.
“Celtic look a wee bit lack of pace, for me, at the moment, especially the midfield,” added Brazil. “McGregor, you keep bringing it up and you are right. He’s not imposing himself. Maybe he has a niggle or an injury.”
McCoist then stated: “I think he is a great player. I really do. I think he is a terrific player.
