Celtic fans will wake up this morning still a massive 13 points ahead in the league.
The Celtic Park defeat to Rangers, although still hurts, will not alter the fact that the gap at the top of the Scottish Premiership table is still enough to pretty much guarantee the league title win.
Former Celtic hero Chris Sutton has already stated that ‘the bottom line’ for Rangers is that Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers is still on course to win the Parkhead club’s fourth title in a row despite the Glasgow Derby defeat.
Which is why when Sutton saw what the Rangers players and their fans were doing at full-time inside Celtic Park, the Sky Sports pundit seems to be feeling a little embarrassed for them.

Sutton believes that whilst the Rangers players were right to enjoy their win, the former Celtic striker said he ‘would never’ have done what they did.
Sutton said on BBC 606 [33m], “I’ve got to say, over-celebrating at the end. I wouldn’t have done that, Rob. There’s no way I would have milked it like that.
“These were the same fans who were booing the Rangers. They were booing the Rangers players off the pitch a couple of weeks ago. Now they are clapping and dancing.
“Come on.
When Celtic can now win the league after Rangers defeat
The earliest Celtic could win the league if they had beaten Rangers would have been at St Johnstone, assuming they won the Celtic Park fixture against Hearts.
Now with a 13-point gap at the top of the table, Brendan Rodgers will need to wait until the top-six split fixtures are announced before he finds out where a possible title party can now be held.
All yesterday’s defeat has done is delay the inevitable date when Celtic will be crowned champions and when that day comes, yesterday’s defeat will be all but a distant memory.
