Celtic boss Elena Sadiku has targeted an unbeaten finale to the season after her side came from behind to hold Rangers to a draw at Broadwood.
Amy Gallacher came off the bench to cancel out Kirsty Howat’s eighth minute opener.
It denied Rangers a place at the summit of the SWPL.
Instead, it was Glasgow City who took that slot. They beat Motherwell 4-0 while Hearts beat Hibs 2-1 at Meadowbank.
Sadiku, though, has refused to throw in the towel when it comes to defending the title.
Celtic are eight points off City and Hibs and seven behind Rangers with seven games to go. “We have to go and win every game between now and the end of the season,” said the Swede. “We have to believe that is possible.
“It is a huge game for us now on Wednesday night against Hibs but they are all huge games now. I was disappointed not to get the three points but I was proud of the second-half because the players came out and showed how much they wanted to win the game.
“This is the week where we turn things over. Right now the mood is good in the camp. We are in it until the end. We have everything in our hands.”
Potter was frustrated that Rangers failed to take all three points but insisted that Rangers have to park it immediately as they look to the run-in.
“I am not looking at that at the moment [the table] because it is ebbing and flowing,” she said. “We have to concentrate on each game at a time. You can’t take your eye off it.
It was an opportunity to go top but there will be more opportunities to do that.”
Both teams aggrieved at the performance of referee Cameron Stirling, with both having different views on his display.
Rangers were irked at a second-half booking of Rio Hardy after a clash with Natalie Ross while Celtic manager Sadiku felt every decision were against her side in the opening period.
“I don’t know how much I can say, to be honest,” said Potter. “I think there was a lot we didn’t agree with but I am saying the same thing week in, week out and other managers are saying the same thing on the other side.
“It is one of the things that we are having to deal with. We would just like it to be a bit more consistent. That doesn’t seem like too much to ask for but it is a talking point every week.
“There were some real inconsistencies and you sometimes feel a bit hard done by when you are the only one being punished.”
Sadiku did not mince her words when asked about Potter’s comments. “She has complained?!” she said. “They get everything today First-half especially, they fell down so easily and they get everything.
“I don’t know how many free-kicks we had – I think maybe we had two or three the whole game, maybe more in the second-half , but it was pretty even.
“They had a lot first-half and we had more in the second. I don’t think we should blame the ref for anything today.
