NafisaThe dust is now starting to settle on another successful season for Celtic.
There were many high moments, some low moments, and then some situations that took many people in Celtic colours by surprise.
One of the big talking points for the campaign was Kyogo Furuhashi’s abrupt exit during the January transfer window.
Not only did Kyogo decide to leave the champions, but he opted to join relegation-threatened Ligue 1 side Rennes in France.
Whilst it surprised the Celtic Park faithful, at the end of the day, for the players, especially captain Callum McGregor, their job is to remain calm and get on with the job, and that’s exactly what happened.

Following the conclusion of the 2024/25 season, and with Celtic securing the double, Sky Sports looked back on the club’s season.
Celtic: Another Season in Paradise was aired on 30/05/25, including McGregor talking about the campaign and the transfer of Kyogo.
The man with the armband stated it was ‘disappointing’ to lose such a key player, but he paid respect to the big goals the man from Japan scored for the club.
It was disappointing to lose Kyogo,” said McGregor. “He was the main man for us for three years. He scored in all the big games. He set the tempo for the way that we wanted to play.
“That’s the reality of football. You lose a good player. We were lucky that we could bring Jota back. He was someone that we knew had huge quality. He could deal with the temperament of playing for Celtic.
“One door closes, and another one opens. And we have to find a way to win.
Kyogo’s Celtic career in numbers
Whatever happens with the rest of Kyogo’s career, one thing is for sure: he will forever be a legend in Glasgow and remembered fondly.
During Kyogo’s time at the club, there was talk of whether he was the best Celtic striker since Henrik Larsson.
That’s a big thing, and it proves just how well he did when donning the green and white colours.
