Brighton Tops Premier League for Most Budget-Friendly Matchday Experience

A recent study by ticket comparison site SeatPick has crowned Brighton & Hove Albion as the Premier League club offering the most cost-effective matchday experience, excluding ticket prices. The Seagulls achieved a score of 66.5 out of 100 on SeatPick’s affordability index, just ahead of Fulham and Crystal Palace.

So what sets Brighton apart as the Premier League’s best value for fans?

To begin with, food and drink at the Amex Stadium are notably affordable. A pint costs just £4.95, and a pie is priced at £4.10—considerably cheaper than the offerings at bigger clubs like Chelsea, Manchester United, or Arsenal.

Public transport also adds to the value. A day bus pass in Brighton is only £5.00, making travel to and from the stadium accessible for local supporters. For those driving, petrol prices sweeten the deal even further. Brighton boasts some of the country’s lowest E10 fuel prices at £1.38 per litre—just a notch above West Ham’s £1.31, the cheapest among Premier League clubs.

However, it’s not all easy going—especially for away fans. Visiting teams face an average travel distance of 152.48 miles to reach Brighton, ranking third highest among the top ten most affordable clubs.

Still, for Brighton’s home fans, the matchday experience remains a blend of affordability and convenience, making it the Premier League’s best value day out.
