Leeds United’s ambitions in the transfer market have hit another snag, a recurring challenge given their extensive list of targets this summer.

Valued at £12m last summer, the 26-year-old Republic of Ireland international sparked speculation after ambiguous comments about his future, suggesting he was “committed at the moment.”
However, O’Shea has now silenced rumors by signing a new long-term contract with Ipswich until 2030.
Speaking to the club, he expressed enthusiasm for their project, stating, “This is a massive club with good people, and I’m excited to help us return to the Premier League.”
For Leeds, this development shifts priorities. While another centre-back was on Farke’s radar, O’Shea’s decision pushes that need down the list.
More pressing are reinforcements in goal, at left-back, and potentially in central midfield. Still, Leeds remain active, with reports linking them to Liverpool’s Joe Gomez and Bologna’s Jhon Lucumi, signaling their intent to juggle multiple deals.
As pre-season looms, with a friendly against Manchester United on July 19th, Farke’s focus will be on building a squad ready for the Premier League’s demands.
