Wolves Line Up €20m Move for Flamengo Starlet Wallace Yan Amid Summer Squad Revamp

Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly preparing to launch a formal bid worth over €20 million for Flamengo’s highly-rated 20-year-old forward Wallace Yan, as they continue reshaping their squad under Vitor Pereira.

The Premier League side have already made waves this summer, banking more than €73 million from Matheus Cunha’s move to Manchester United. In response, Wolves have strengthened their attacking options by finalising Jorgen Strand Larsen’s permanent deal and securing Fer Lopez from Celta Vigo. However, their business isn’t over yet.

With Goncalo Guedes now on the market, Wolves are looking to further bolster their forward line, and Wallace Yan has emerged as their latest priority target. According to Brazilian journalist Bruno Lemos, the club is poised to submit an official offer for the young attacker in the coming days.

Yan, capable of playing as a central striker, a second striker, or on the left flank, has primarily featured for Flamengo’s Under-20 side but already boasts 18 senior appearances.

In that time, he’s netted six goals and provided three assists, showcasing his versatility and potential at the top level.

Whether the proposed €20m bid will be enough to convince Flamengo to part with the rising star remains to be seen, but Wolves are hopeful.

Their recent focus on Brazilian talent  having already signed midfielder Andre from Fluminense and integrated Joao Gomes and Pedro Lima into the first team  could help convince Yan that Molineux is the right next step for his development.
