Sunderland goalkeeper Robin Roefs has voiced his admiration for the club’s ambitious summer transfer strategy, insisting that new signing Brian Brobbey will make a big impact at the Stadium of Light.
Speaking to ESPN ahead of joining the Netherlands squad for the international break, Roefs reflected on an intense transfer window that completely reshaped Regis Le Bris’ team for Premier League survival.
Sunderland invested €187.9 million across 14 signings, with Roefs himself arriving for €10.5m from NEC Nijmegen. A 15th player, Marc Guiu, briefly joined from Chelsea but returned following Liam Delap’s injury setback.
