Danny Rohl on the touchline for his first game in charge of Rangers (Image: Shutterstock)
Chris Sutton couldn’t resist a cheeky swipe at new Rangers head coach Danny Rohl following tonight’s dismal defeat during his first game in charge.
The Scottish Premiership giants went down 3-0 against SK Brann in Bergen this evening.
Emil Kornvig, Jacob Sorensen and Noah Holm were on the scoresheet for the hosts, who dominated proceedings for the vast majority of the encounter.
The latest defeat for the Ibrox club comes as Rohl took charge of the first team on Monday, officially succeeding Russell Martin.
Qualifying for the knockouts rounds of the Europa League already looks to be a tall order, with this Rangers’ third successive loss in the league phase of the competition.
Rohl will have at least pleased supporters with his smart appearance on the touchline in Norway.
The German was kitted out in a club suit, with brown brogues also on display.
And this is where Celtic hero Sutton saw his opportunity to take a pop at his old foes.
He wrote on X: “The brown brogues not bringing Danny Rohl much luck tonight…”
Celtic are also in Europa League action tonight, with Brendan Rodgers‘ side hosting Sturm Graz in Glasgow.
