NafisaThe Toffees are reportedly readying a record breaking bid for Napoli midfielder Scott McTominay.
According to Spanish outlet Fichajes, the Italian champions could demand around £61.5m for the Scot.
Moyes is said to be a huge admirer of his countryman and would be willing to break the club’s transfer record.
The Blues have previously been linked with the 28-year-old, during his time at Manchester United.
However, a move never materialised, and the Scottish international made the switch to Naples in 2024.
The Midfielder has been a revelation since moving to Serie A, lifting the title last season with 16 goal contributions.
His performances earned him a Ballon d’Or nomination and he’s very much a fan favourite at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.
Indeed, he already has four goals in all competitions this campaign, including a volley against Inter last month.

He would bring more than goals to Everton’s midfield though. His box to box style and tenacity would make him the type of midfielder Moyes could build the team around.
Securing such a high profile and big money singing would be a real show of intent from the Friedkins.
McTominay would be an ambitious signing, one that could help the club achieve European ambitions.
While Everton’s need for a striker is well documented, McTominay’s bursts from deep would support the attack and alleviate pressure on the forwards.
He’s a player Moyes would no doubt get the best out of, and though he seems settled in Naples, he’d surely be tempted by a Premier League return.
Who Everton sign in January will likely make or break the season. It’ll determine whether we’re chasing those above, or nervously looking over our shoulder.
With 12 goals and four assists for Napoli last season, McTominay would be a game-changer of a signing for Everton.
