​Nottingham Forest have intensified their search for a clinical finisher, entering formal negotiations with Napoli for towering Italian striker Lorenzo Lucca. With the January window nearing its climax, the Reds have placed a significant proposal on the table to bring the 6’7″ marksman to the City Ground.
​The proposed deal consists of an initial €1m loan fee, supplemented by a €35m buy-option clause. Crucially, the purchase clause is currently not mandatory, giving Forest the flexibility to evaluate Lucca’s impact in the Premier League before committing to a permanent record-breaking transfer.
​A Tactical Pivot
​Head coach Sean Dyche is reportedly a huge admirer of Lucca’s physical profile. After Chris Wood was sidelined with an injury and summer signing Igor Jesus struggled for form, Forest have identified Lucca as the ideal target man to spearhead their survival charge.
