Newcastle Prepare Bid to Hijack Bournemouth Deal to Sign Rayan

Newcastle United are eyeing a move to sign Brazilian attacking sensation Rayan in January, with his club expecting a bid imminently, according to GE Globo.

The Magpies have had a mixed campaign so far this season and currently sit eighth in the Premier League following a 0-0 draw with Wolves this past weekend, while they are in contention for qualification in the Champions League too.

But Eddie Howe is keen to strengthen his attacking options after a number of injury problems and players dealing with poor form, and youngster Rayan has emerged as someone the club are keen to sign.

Rayan

Rayan, who has been described as an ‘extremely unique’ and ‘deadly’ forward, is considered to be one of the most exciting youngsters in Brazil, and has recently attracted interest from some of Europe’s top clubs.

But it’s Premier League side Bournemouth who have been pushing the hardest for his signature, as they eye a replacement for the recently departed Antoine Semenyo. The Cherries have already agreed personal terms with the 19-year-old, and he is open to the move, but they have yet to agree a deal with Vasco da Gama.

Now, the Brazilian side are said to be holding out for fresh offers from clubs who want to compete for his signature, and it’s reported that they are expecting a bid from Newcastle United soon, and they are hopeful that it will be an offer they deem acceptable that is worth more than others are willing to pay.

Vasco da Gama would ideally prefer to keep Rayan until the summer and then allow him to leave for a big fee, but they are aware of the interest and know that a certain offer would make it impossible for them to turn down.

Rayan Would be Incredible Newcastle Signing

Newcastle have become a club in recent years where young talent has thrived, and they have regularly been able to bring players into the club who will develop into top stars.

The likes of Sandro Tonali, Bruno Guimaraes, Alexander Isak, Sven Botman, and, more recently, Nick Woltemade have all improved since moving to St James’ Park, and they could provide a brilliant platform for Rayan to continue his development, while making an impact at the highest level.

Rayan would be a brilliant signing for the Magpies, and if they can hijack Bournemouth’s deal to bring him to the Premier League then it seems like a no-brainer.
