Following Nottingham Forest’s Europa League heartbreak in Portugal on Thursday night, Roy Keane has launched a scathing attack on Morgan Gibbs-White, urging the club to “sell him in January and move on” after a nightmare performance against Braga.
Forest slumped to a 1-0 defeat at the Estádio Municipal de Braga, a result that severely dents their hopes of a top-eight finish. The game turned in a “minute of madness” when Gibbs-White saw his 51st-minute penalty saved by Lukas Hornicek. Less than a minute later, captain Ryan Yates turned the ball into his own net at the other end.

Keane, speaking on the post-match panel, was clinical in his assessment of Forest’s talisman:
”He’s supposed to be the leader, the one with the quality. You miss a penalty like that in Europe, you cost your team the game. He looks like he’s got his head elsewhere. If a big bid comes in this month, I’d take the money, sell him, and forget it ever happened. You can’t carry passengers in these competitions.”
