​The 28-year-old, who recently signed from Besiktas, was seen in a heated exchange with referee Tim Robinson after a four-minute VAR check ruled that Leon Bailey had taken the ball out of play 19 seconds prior to the goal. While the broadcast originally muted the confrontation, the leaked “full audio” allegedly contains a series of “X-rated” insults directed at the officiating team and the VAR hub at Stockley Park.

​The Premier League is expected to launch an immediate investigation into the comments. Under the league’s strict code of conduct regarding “Participant Behavior,” Abraham could face a significant fine or a multi-match suspension.
​”The frustration is understandable given the stakes,” a source close to the PGMOL noted, “but the language used toward the officials was personal and abusive. It’s an area the league is determined to stamp out.”
