NafisaRabbi Matondo could finally say goodbye to Rangers, once and for all.
The Welshman has played 69 times for the Gers since signing in 2022, with eight goals and 11 assists in that time.
Rangers completed the signing of Ryan Naderi on deadline day, and Joe Rothwell secured a much-needed exit from Ibrox.
However, Matondo stayed put, but he may still have an escape route to end his nightmare spell in Govan, despite the deadline passing.
Rangers in exit talks with Rabbi Matondo
Matondo had been linked with a move to reunite with former Rangers boss Philippe Clement at Norwich in the Championship.
However, that did not materialise, and he is currently still with the Light Blues.
Chris Jack claimed on 2 February that the Gers were in talks to end his deal six months before it is supposed to expire.

He stated that further discussions are set for 3 February to try and reach an agreement that would see Matondo depart.
What went wrong for Matondo at Rangers?
The 25-year-old clearly has the talent to succeed in Scottish football, but unfortunately, he has never quite had the fitness to match.
That is the story of Matondo’s time in G51, with injuries regularly ruining any momentum that he may have built in his time north of the border.
He missed 20 games for club and country in the 2022-23 campaign, and that figure was 19 matches the following season.

Matondo’s games missed in the past four seasons.
In the 2024-25, he missed a total of 23 matches for club and country and spent time with Hannover on loan for the second half of the season.
He has featured just twice in the current campaign, after undergoing knee surgery in July, for a total of 35 minutes, with one minute in the Scottish Premiership, under Danny Rohl.
His Bears career is a case of what might have been, had he been able to get rid of persistent knee and muscle injuries.
Supporters are keen to get him off the books and end his misery, and Jack’s update will be a welcome one for most of the fanbase.
It is the right move for all parties, the player can start fresh and hopefully have better luck away from the pressure that comes with playing for the Glasgow outfit.
